Grüner Veltliner is Austria's most widely planted grape variety and one of the country's most important wine ambassadors. The grape produces wines with a distinctive peppery character alongside citrus, herb and mineral notes. It is grown primarily in Niederösterreich, especially in Wachau, Kremstal and Kamptal, and can produce everything from light, fresh everyday wines to rich, age-worthy Grand Cru wines.
